I work hard, but in my downtime I like to surf the internet and learn about things, key interests being archaeology and the mysteries of the cosmos. I also enjoy books, spy stories and biographies in particular, and try to catch sumo and women's wrestling on TV, and any show that makes me laugh.  The last time I saw the inside of a gym was when I was 7 years old. I love animals, having had dogs, a couple of cats and a tortoise in the past, and enjoy most types of music. I'm very casual, 69 years old, and borderline lazy, I think. I don't envy others as I have led a very exciting life, once I escaped from the U.K., working and living in a number of countries. But Japan is where I am happiest.
